What Recarga is
Recarga is an app for iPhone and Android that helps you follow your diet in real life: your diet counts as done, you log what changes and it tells you how much of another food is equivalent when you are missing something. The service is provided by Alejandro Bosquet, an individual (Recarga is a 17lab project). Contact: 17lab.pro@gmail.com.
Recarga is a general wellness app, not a medical device or a medical or nutrition advice service. Read the medical notice.
Your account
To use Recarga you need an account with your email and a password, and you must be at least 16. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens with your account. To store your health data we ask for a separate consent; without it the app can't work (see the privacy policy).
Your diet and what you log
You (or your professional) decide your diet: Recarga doesn't create diets, doesn't recommend supplements or doses and doesn't check whether a diet suits you. The figures it works out (calories, macros, swaps and suggestions) are approximate: they come from public food databases and from what you log, and may contain errors. Whoever makes the diet is responsible for it.
Food data
Recarga uses ANSES's CIQUAL table (CC BY 4.0 licence), USDA FoodData Central (public domain) and, for the products you scan, Open Food Facts (ODbL licence; each product links to its page). Typical dishes are approximate recipes prepared by Recarga.
Plans: Free and Plus
The Free plan lets you really use Recarga: one day type, logging by default, swaps, the scanner, typical dishes, the library and supplements. Plus adds unlimited day types, micronutrient suggestions, connecting your assistant and the history trend, for €1.99 a month or €19.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial the first time.
Plus is bought on the App Store or Google Play, which charge for it and renew it automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before, from your store account settings. Deleting the app or the account doesn't cancel the subscription. If Plus ends nothing is deleted: Plus features are paused and come back as they were if you subscribe again. Refunds are handled by the store under its own terms.
Your assistant (Plus)
With Plus you can connect your AI assistant so it can read your diet and log for you. What the assistant does is the same as if you had done it, and you can correct it in the app. That service has its own terms, and we are not responsible for what the assistant interprets or suggests.
Acceptable use
Don't use Recarga for anything illegal, don't try to access other people's data or parts of the service that aren't meant for you, and don't use it in a way that overloads or breaks it. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability and changes
We do our best to keep Recarga working at all times, including offline for the essentials, but we can't guarantee there will be no outages. We may change or improve features; if a change to these terms affects you, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile: your Recarga account and all its data are deleted. Your Sobrecarga account, if you have one, is not touched.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights the law of your country of residence gives you and you can bring claims before its courts.
